My Story
C.V. Lee grew up in the Pacific Northwest just east of Seattle. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies from the University of Washington. Her studies focused on the relationship between history, politics, economics, culture, and languages and how they shape a people and their response.
After graduation, she moved to California and lived in Redondo Beach just a half block from the ocean before moving to Livermore, California where she met her husband and raised her three sons. Today she lives on an island in the Pacific Northwest where she spends her days gardening, cooking, reading, writing, and entertaining friends.
Writing Career
C.V. Lee has always been drawn to historical fiction, particularly stories that feature real people. After more than twenty years in the mortgage business, C.V. Lee began her writing career in 2017. Unsurprisingly, she writes novels about real people and real events, but not about people that so many books have been written about, but retelling the lives ordinary people with the same joys and struggles as we do, yet history called them to take on the rulers and fight not only for their lives, but for the betterment of their nation.
C.V. is a member of the Historical Novel Society and a Founding Member of the Paper Lantern Writers author collective.
