A Word From The Author
There are so many stories of heroic men and women of the past that are in danger of being lost forever. Stories of regular people who through determination and action changed their world. The stories contained in my novels are based on real people and real events and feature amazing people whose stories deserve to be told. I hope I do them justice.
The Series Thus Far
The first two books in the series detail the life of Philippe de Carteret.
Token of Betrayal – Philippe comes-of-age during the French Occupation of the Isle of Jersey during the Wars of the Roses, told from the perspective of Philippe and his father.
Betrayal of Trust follows the story of Philippe and his incredible wife,
Margaret Harleston, a story of bravery and heroism that will leave you breathless. Their story prompted me to become an author.
I loved how Lee developed an amazing cast by boldly bringing out their qualities. This, coupled with the profound depth of emotion, made it easy for me to connect and empathize with the characters. This is a magnificent piece of work and an awesome first installment in the series.
Lee does an extraordinary job pulling together all the facts…blending them into fiction to make a story that is difficult to put down.
There is never a dull moment to be found and I turned the pages without putting the book down once. The end of the story is monumental. Betrayal of Trust is a great read for historical fiction fans.
Betrayal of Trust is a cinematically penned historical piece that gives both the grandeur and grit of 15th century living and I would highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in engaging emotive tales that bring history to life.
Work-in-Progress
My current work-in-progress takes the place in the heart of the Protestant Reformation in England and the Isle of Jersey. The book details the life of the island’s longest serving bailiff, Helier de Carteret. The story contains themes of hypocrisy, duplicity, abuse of power, and flawed humanity.
The release date is not yet set.
